WORK ZONE SIGN PACKAGE PROGRAM

When funding is available, the WV LTAP offers the Work Zone Sign Package Program for local agencies in West Virginia. The program began in 1996 with the goal of helping West Virginia municipalities make their work zones safer for motorists, pedestrians, and roadway workers. Each package consists of traffic control devices that communities can use to warn and guide traffic around and through road construction and maintenance zones.

WV LTAP selects winners based on their application's demonstrated need of work zone traffic control devices and commitment to work zone safety. WV LTAP also strives to ensure a statewide distribution based on municipal size and location. Agencies that have previously received sign packages are eligible to apply again. However, since preference will be given to those who have notreceived awards, a strong justification statement should be provided.

Submit your application by August 1, 2023.
